BMW-Owned British carmaker MINI has announced that it will hold the global premier of its first design model - MINI Seven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in England. Essentially a special edition version of the MINI Cooper and Cooper S, the car has named after the company's very first MINI model - the 1959 Austin Seven. With this new special edition car, the company commemorates the brand's classic heritage along with its modern design and technology. MINI will also feature a bespoke option pack called MINI Seven Chili, which will be unveiled along with the regular version on June 23 at Goodwood's Moving Motor Show.
MINI Seven Edition Badging on Cooper S
The new MINI Seven design model will feature across the MINI Hatch range in 5-door or 3-door variants. These MINI Seven cars will offer specially designed exterior and interior that will be seen for the first time on this generation's model line-up. The body comes with a special paint job in Lapisluxury Blue with silver racing strip on the hood and silver roof. Moreover the car also gets the "Seven 7" badging on the front fender along with other regular design elements of the MINI Cooper family.

Inside, the cabin has also been redesigned with new trim design, colour and materials to go with the exterior styling. The car gets tan panels on the dash boards and door, smart infotainment display and the 'Seven 7' badging on the scuff plates.
Under the hood the cars remain the same and continue to be powered by the same engines as the standard versions. For instance the Cooper S features the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder MINI Twin Power Turbo engine that churns out a maximum of 190bhp while developing a peak torque of 280 Nm. Transmission options include the same 6-speed manual unit along with the option of an 6-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox as well. The Cooper S and Cooper D continues to be powered by their respective 1.5-litre motors.
MINI will also have the new John Cooper Works Challenge Edition going up the famous 1.16-mile Hillclimb course in the First Glance category during the main FOS days.
