It was only yesterday that we reported about the new generation X5 spotted testing, which will be pretty much similar to the previous model, but is built on the new CLAR platform. Today, we bring in spy shots of the new generation X5 M that was flaunting in full production body parts. The M version of the X5, though still in its prototype clothing, was kind enough to show us some of its new changes. While the standard X5 will get a larger kidney grille, what sets the X5 M apart from its sibling is the more aggressive stance. Apart from the obvious exterior changes, the new generation BMW X5 M will most likely feature the same engine option, but with a tuned up performance to live up to its M power.

Talking of the changes on the outside, as mentioned earlier, the new generation BMW X5 M gets aggressive in its stance, thanks to the bigger air intakes, larger alloy wheels, and quad exhaust tips at the rear. Moreover, the roof-mounted spoiler, bumpier cross-drilled rotors and the bulged hood shows off the muscle provence of the X5 M. The 21-inch alloys wheels also help the cause. The headlights and taillights also look production ready, hinting that the big SUV is closing its launch month.

Under the hood, the new generation BMW X5 M gets the same bi-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine but is capable of churning out 600 bhp, a bump of almost 30 bhp. Expect it to be quicker between the shifts as the new platform will definitely give it an advantage. While we hope BMW introduces the new X5 M later this year, it'll take some time as the standard X5 will come first, while the X5 M will be launched sometime by end of 2019.
