The fourth-generation Skoda Octavia has been finally launched in India and the model is available in two variants - Style and L&K. The new sedan is a big step up over its predecessor with a concentrated effort towards comfort. There's little to fault with the Octavia with the great space, premium cabin and a long list of features on offer. Power comes from the 2.0-litre TSI engine that develops 188 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque, while paired with the 7-speed DSG gearbox. The prices though are steep starting at Rs. 25.99 lakh for the Style trim, going up to Rs. 28.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India) for the L&K version.
