Maruti Suzuki India has launched the new 2022 Brezza subcompact SUV today, with prices beginning at Rs. 7.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 13.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end trim. The Brezza has been one of the top-selling SUVs in India, and in the last six years, the company has sold over 7.5 lakh units of the model in India. This popularity is only expected to continue, as even before the price announcement for the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the carmaker has bagged over 45,000 bookings, that too in just 8 days.

Speaking at the launch of the new Brezza, Shashank Srivastava, Sr. Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said, "It has been eight days since we announced the pre-bookings for the new Brezza, and it seems it has already taken over the hearts and minds of car lovers. We have seen more than 45,000 bookings, with over four bookings per minute."

The new Brezza comes with a bolder design and styling along with a host of smart features and tech. The SUV comes with new LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and sporty alloys, whereas the cabin now features segment-first features like a head up display (HUD) and also gets a 360-degree camera. Maruti Suzuki now also offers a 9-inch HD display with the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system that comes with a connected car technology with a voice assistant. Other smart features include - a wireless charger, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, rear fast-charging USB ports (A & C type), and for the first time, a sunroof as well.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza now comes with more than 20 safety features which include dual airbags and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist as standard across all variants. Maruti is also offering 6-airbags for the first time on the Brezza with the top-end ZXI+ trim.

Power comes from the new-generation 1.5-litre K-Series DualJet petrol engine. This is the same motor that powers the Ertiga as well, and the motor develops 102 bhp at 6000 rpm and 135 Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm. The engine comes with a mild-hybrid system that is aimed at improving efficiency. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while there's a new 6-speed torque converter with paddle shifters, replacing the 4-speed automatic on the SUV.
