The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will make its global debut on January 11, 2016 at the 2016 edition of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The carmaker recently teased the car that allowed glimpses of only the upcoming sedan's cabin. Luckily, we just stumbled across the shots of the car's camouflaged pre-production prototype from December.
On a test run between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the latest reveal from the Daimler stable will come loaded with technology such as Drive Pilot, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, and car-to-X communication.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class is based on the German luxury carmaker's MLB architecture and sports design elements that tend to remind the onlooker of the C-Class and the S-Class. While the finer details about the car's exterior still elude us, it will get a brawny front, nifty character lines, a sloping roofline, a stubby tail, and tail lamp in torch design to go along with it.
