TVS Motor Company recently released a teaser image of a new scooter. Either the scooter could be a new, refreshed version of the Scooty Zest or it could be an all-new scooter as well. We are going with the former. The new scooter will have a BS IV engine and the auto-headlamp on feature (AHO). Apart from that, the new scooter might also have features such as LED DRLs, USB charging port, a stainless steel guard for the exhaust, textured floorboard and a variety of colour options. Expect TVS to give the new Scooty Zest a few cosmetic changes as well.
(The current TVS Scooty Zest on sale)As far as the engine is concerned, we believe that it will feature the tried and tested 110 cc motor which makes 8 bhp and 8.7 Nm of peak torque. This is the same engine which does duty on the current Scooty Zest as well. The Scooty Zest is one of the most fuel efficient scooters around with a company claimed fuel efficiency figure of 62 kmpl. It comes with a host of convenience features such as a USB charging port, 19 litres of underseat stowage space, telescopic front suspension, 10-inch anti-skid tyres and so on. The prices for the current model of the Scooty zest start at Rs. 46,538 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
