KTM looks all set to completely upgrade the entry-level KTM 125 Duke, with latest spy shots from Europe revealing the upcoming new motorcycle. The latest images show the new KTM 125 Duke to be getting a significant update, compared to the current-generation model. The pictures show an almost production-ready model of the 125 cc street naked, undergoing final testing before launch. The updated KTM 125 Duke is expected to get a radical new design, new engine, new suspension and new frame, along with revised brakes.

Spy shots show the next-generation model alongside the current KTM 125 Duke, revealing quite a few visual and mechanical changes.
In a series of spy shots, the next-generation KTM 125 Duke is also seen with the current model, and we can see visible differences in the design. What is apparent is a more aggressive design language, highlighted by a larger headlight assembly, sharp tank extensions that seem to protrude more than before, something similar to the KTM 890 Duke's. Even the rear-view mirrors and taillight appear to be new, but what is not clear is if the instrument console has also been updated.

The engine cases appear to be different on the test mule of the new bike, compared to the current generation model, and there's a new underbelly exhaust routing. It's quite likely that the engine is all-new, although output is likely to remain more or less the same as the current generation 125 Duke. The tubular steel frame also looks to be new, and boasts a new cast alloy subframe, while the swingarm also is all-new and the rear monoshock is mounted on the right side. The front brake and disc and caliper are mounted on the right side of the wheel, as against the left side mounted units as on the current model. The cast alloy wheels are also new, sporting a new five-spoke design, compared to the 10-spoke design of the current model.
The updated KTM 125 Duke is expected to be unveiled in production form later this year, with official launch sometime in early 2023. In India too, the new KTM 125 Duke will replace the current model, but launch is likely to happen in the first quarter of 2023.
