British motorcycle brand Norton has unveiled its new V4 superbike in two variants with the 1200cc V4 engine making over 200bhp at 12,500rpm and 130Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. The engines are equipped with titanium inlet valves, twin injectors per cylinder, ride-by-wire throttle for each bank and chain-driven cams.
The V4 RR certainly has racing in its genes with three engine modes - road, track and pro-race, and gets a six-axis inertial measurement unit along with multiple setting traction control, launch control, anti-wheelie system, adjustable engine braking, cruise control as well as a slipper clutch, quickshifter with auto blipper and an intermediate idler gear.

Suspension consists of a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front fork and TTXGP fully-adjustable rear shock, combined with an Ohlins steering damper. Braking is full Brembo kit with twin 330mm front discs and a 245mm disc at the rear. The bikes are fitted with hand-built aluminium frames and full carbon fibre bodywork, available in a bare, matte-finish look or chrome finish.

The 18-litre fuel tank is made of carbon fibre as well and reinforced with Kevlar and has an internal chemical coating to meet fuel resistance standards. The V4 SS weighs 179kg dry and the optional full titanium racing exhaust helps shed 8kg and also offers a 10bhp boost in power output.
Both variants are being produced in limited numbers and with only 200 in production, the V4 SS has already sold out at GBP 44,000 (around Rs 38 lakh). The V4 RR is priced at GBP 28,000 (around Rs 24 lakh) and is also being produced in limited numbers.
