Okinawa Autotech, a prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has received the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) certification for global quality management in automotive manufacturing. Okinawa becomes the first electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India to receive this certification. The IATF certification was awarded to Okinawa after a stringent evaluation process thanks to the quality centric efforts that the company has put towards design and manufacturing. Okinawa has also developed its rule book in line with IATF standards and continues to train its personnel accordingly.

(Okinawa aims to increase its revenue by 300 per cent in FY2022)
The company also recently launched an initiative where it trained dealers and partners to handle technical problems and maintenance for electric scooters during lockdown. Okinawa says that due to the ongoing pandemic and lockdown, most workshops are operating with minimum workforce and that has resulted in a pile-up of pending work. Okinawa also aims to educate and make its customers aware of proper procedure of maintaining electric two-wheelers along with the batteries during a lockdown.

Earlier in May 2021, Okinawa announced its ambitious target to increase its revenue by 300 per cent in FY2022. Furthermore, it reiterates its commitment to invest Rs. 150 crore, most of it towards a new plant in Rajasthan. The company also aims to grow its product portfolio and expand its on-ground footprint. The company clocked annual revenue of Rs. 155 crore in FY 2021. In FY2021, the company sold 30,930 units and aims a sell three-fold increase in sales in FY2022.
