The Linea was offered in both petrol and one diesel engine options - 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel. Later in 2010, the company added a more powerful 123 bhp 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo petrol option to the mix. Our pick would be either the 1.4 T-Jet petrol or the 1.3 diesel.
The suspension of the Linea was tuned to offer good ride quality and amazing handling. The car felt planted even at high speed and offered enough confidence to take on the corners as well.
A used Linea will also be quite affordable. Depending on the model year and condition of the car, you can get one for around Rs. 1.25 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh.
The cabin design and layout look ancient compared to even some of the entry-level cars today, and quality of the plastics was also not great.
Cons
The Linea has not been on sale since 2018 and generally, manufacturers offer spare parts for 10 years after a model has been discontinued. So, while right now it might not be a problem, in the long run, maintaining a used Linea might be an issue.
While we had no complaints about the build quality, the plastics used inside the cabin certainly could have been better. The panels and the buttons felt cheap and flimsy.
