The Hyundai Venue is one of the most popular subcompact SUVs currently sold in India. First launched in 2019, the car has been in the Indian market for around three years now, and it has already received a mid-life facelift. Along with new styling and features, the SUV now also come with a slight bump in price, and if you are planning to buy the Venue, but on a tighter budget, then we would suggest looking for a pre-owned one. Hyundai has an array of powerful and efficient engines on offer with the Venue.
Pros
While looks are subjective, we think the Hyundai Venue is a handsome-looking SUV, especially the pre-facelift model. The design and proportions are of a proper SUV and depending on the variant, you will get LED lights, alloy wheels and a sunroof.
Depending on the variant you get, the Venue is loaded with smart features like the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluelink connected car tech, Apple CarPlay & Android auto, air purifier, wireless charging, sunroof, ventilated front seats and more.
Hyundai has an array of powerful and efficient engines on offer with the Venue - a frugal 1.2-litre petrol engine, a powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and for the diesel lovers, a capable 1.5-litre oil burner. The former two come in both manual and automatic choices.
Most of the nicer features are only available in the top-end trim, so, if those are your priority then the number of options will be limited.
Cons
Most features like the Bluelink connected car tech, air purifier, and wireless charger, are only available in the top-end trim. So, if those are your priority then the number of options will be limited.
While features packed, the cabin space inside the Venue is not the best, especially at the rear. It's a 4-seater SUV at best and taller occupants might not be very comfortable on long journeys.
The Venue is still a fairly new car, and Hyundai cars retain good resale value, so even a used one might not come cheap. Finding a good one below Rs. 8 lakh would be rare.
