Renault has finally launched the long-awaited Captur SUV in India today at an introductory price of Rs. 9.99 lakh to Rs. 13.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Renault Captur is the company flagship offering and to maintain the SUV's premium quotient, the company offers it in just four variant and features like projector headlamps, rear AC vents, dual airbags are standard right from the base model. The Renault Captur is available in four trim option - RXE, RXL, RXT and the top-of-the-line Platine, and here's our detailed breakdown of all the variants. Dispatches for the Captur began last month while bookings commenced in late September.

Renault Captur RXE
Considering the Captur is a premium offering and the company's flagship model, even the base variant is pretty well-equipped. On the exterior, the SUV comes with projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, chrome-studded grille, body coloured door handles, roof colour ORVMs, 16-inch wheels with full wheel cover, and black side cladding. The cabin comes with fabric interior, black and ivory accents, piano black and ivory inserts for the dashboard, and a black gear shifter knob. Other features include - rear AC vents, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, push-button start, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted controls, and height adjustable driver seat with armrest.

Renault Captur RXL
In addition to the features offered with the RXE variant, the RXL trim comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, black striping on the B- and C-pillar, front and rear skid plate, and chrome accents for side body cladding. The cabin, on the other hand, comes with additional features like a rear parcel tray, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition and MP3 Bluetooth, USB & AUX-IN, and 2 tweeters, and gear shift indicator. Safety features remain the same except for a rear parking sensor.

Renault Captur RXT
Adding to the features of the RXL trim, the RXT option comes with features like optional dual tone colour, chrome bezels for headlamps, follow me home headlamps, 17-inch crystal cue alloy wheels, and rear trunk garnish. The cabin comes with similar fabric seats but with rouge passion and blue Pacifique deco stitches, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rouge passion or blue Pacifique interior accents, chrome surround for gear shifter, and parking brake button. Other features include front seat rear pocket, electrically adjustable & foldable outside rear view mirrors, a 12V power socket for both front and rear passenger, cooled glove box with illumination, cup holders in front console, LED headlamp, and a navigation system. Safety features mainly remain the same except for the addition of LED front fog lamps, rear parking camera with guidelines, smart access card for keyless passive entry, walk away lock, automatic headlamps, and rain sensing wipers.
The top-end Renault Captur is called the Platine Variant
Renault Captur Platine
The top-of-the-line Platine variant is only available in the Indian market and comes with a bunch of additional features like - floating indicators, Planet Grey Roof, white interior with gold accents, leather gear shift knob, cup holders in front console with illumination, and leather armrest for driver seat. On the safety front, the Platine variant comes with headlamps with cornering function, Side airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill start assist.
