As early reviews of the Rivian R1T are starting to emerge more information about its potential range is also coming out. MotorTrend's first drive review is something of an indicator of the impressive capabilities of the electric pickup truck which could potentially give a 500 km range with its all-weather 20-inch wheels which aren't usually the best for frugality and range. In the review video, you can see the presenter scrolls through various menus of the infotainment system panel where he ends up in the charging user interface. The menus reveal three modes for the Rivian which include Trip, Extended and Daily.

The Trip mode is the one that reveals the maximum range of the vehicle is at 483 km that too with the 20-inch wheels.
This is impressive because there will be other variants of the RIT that will have a larger battery pack and hence a 644 km range. The interesting bit will be how the EPA has rated the car in the US as the car has four motors but it also can switch off two motors which will help it dramatically extend the range.
The Rivian R1T was delayed because of production issues however Rivian has overcome the issues and is ready for deliveries pending regulatory approval. Rivian also has plans for an IPO which will be a pretty big deal as it has not even started delivering its cars yet.
