Royal Enfield is all set to introduce the Scram 411 motorcycle in the country on March 15, 2022. The all-new offering is a new iteration based on the Himalayan but takes a more urban route when compared to its rugged adventure sibling. Previously leaked brochures of the Royal Enfield Scram 411 revealed a great deal about what we can expect from the motorcycle, which will be the second such offering in its segment, competing against the new Yezdi Scrambler. Moreover, this will be RE's first attempt at creating a spin-off based on the Himalayan, six years since the ADV first went on sale.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is expected to come with vibrant colour options while retaining the hardware from the Himalayan
The RE Scram 411 will retain most of its hardware and mechanicals from the Himalayan. But there are visual changes on the motorcycle. Leaked images have shown a new headlamp cowl, vibrant colour options, and a new plate on the side that reads 411. The fuel tank and fenders will be carried over from the Himalayan. The seat appears to be a single seat design, compared to the split seat design of the Himalayan. The big change is the smaller 19-inch front wheel as opposed to the 21-inch spoked front wheel on the Himalayan. The bike is expected to still retain its off-road credentials with the long-travel suspension and dual-purpose tyres.
The Scram 411 should be more accessible for shorter riders as a result of the lower seat height, while the ground clearance is expected to be 200 mm, 20 mm less than the Himalayan. The jerrycan holders and the tall windscreen have also been removed from the bike that aims to be more urban in appeal. Power will come from the same 411 cc, single-cylinder, engine and power figures are likely to be identical as well. On the Himalayan, the motor develops 24.3 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm at 4,000 rpm, while paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Scram 411 will have a lower ground clearance at 200 mm as opposed to the Himalayan's 220 mm
Other features will include dual-channel ABS, a halogen headlamp and the Tripper navigation pod. There's no word on the pricing yet but the model is expected to carry a price tag under Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom), which should make it reasonably cheaper than the Himalayan. Meanwhile, the Yezdi Scrambler is priced from Rs. 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
