At the time Rolls-Royce said that only three examples will be ever made making them as rare as they come. And now, the automaker has announced that it's all set to reveal the second Boat Tail at the 2022 Villa d'Este. The marque luxury event will take place on the banks of Lake Como in Italy between May 20-22, 2022.

Rolls-Royce is tight-lipped about what the second Boat Tail will be like and we expect it to be customised and quite different from the first one. Being a completely hand-built offering, the model is designed according to the customer's specifications. The original Boat Tail measured about 19 feet in length and came with a wraparound windshield, extended rear end and the aft deck with the wood veneers.

The first Rolls-Royce Boat Tail's exterior was covered in a dual-tone shade of blue and black, with matching multi-spoke alloy wheels. The automaker offered a hand-painted gradated bonnet. The aft deck comes with nautical references and the deck opens in a sweeping butterfly gesture at the press of a button to reveal an intricate and generous hosting suite.
The cabin comes with a leather interior that matches the bonnet's colour tone with the front seats swathed in the dark blue hue, while the rear seats are finished in a lighter tone The car also comes with unique BOVET 1822 timepieces, 15-speaker Bespoke Rolls-Royce Audio System, signature Rolls-Royce umbrellas, and more. Power figures weren't announced but the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is likely to have the familiar twin-turbo 6.7-litre V12 engine that develops about 563 bhp, going up to 600 bhp on the Black Badge variants.
