Cabin space is one of the biggest USPs of the Mahindra Xylo, and that it offers in ample.
Pros
The Mahindra Xylo is extremely spacious. It can easily fit up to 7 adults, and all of them will be comfortable even during a long journey. In fact, it's one of the few MPVs in which the third row is suitable for adults.
The Xylo was offered with two diesel engine options - a 2.5-litre mDI CRDe motor and a 2.2-litre mHawk engine. The former made 94 bhp and 218 Nm of peak torque, while the more powerful mHawk offered 120 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. Both were powerful and efficient; however, we'd pick the latter.
The exterior built quality of the Mahindra Xylo is quite solid, while its ladder-on-frame chassis allows it to take on bad terrains with great ease.
The interior of the Mahindra Xylo is quite outdated and the same for the exterior bits as well.
Cons
The Xylo is not the best when it comes to handling. There is too much body roll, especially when taking corners, which makes the experience for the occupants unpleasant at times.
The interior of the Mahindra Xylo is quite outdated and the same for the exterior bits as well. The quality of plastics used inside is quite subpar and quite flimsy. In fact, some customers have even complained about rattling noise after a few years.
The Mahindra Xylo only came with a 5-speed manual gearbox, so if you are looking for an automatic MPV, then you'll have to look elsewhere.
