Skoda Auto India will be introducing the new Kushaq Monte Carlo edition on May 9, 2022, and ahead of its launch, the new top-spec variant has been spotted at what appears to be a dealer yard. The new variant promises a major update for the Kushaq bringing several new features to the compact SUV along with cosmetic upgrades. The spy images reveal a great deal about what we can come to expect from the Monte Carlo edition, which has been available across Skoda cars over the years.

The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition will get new blacked-out alloy wheels as well as black roof rails
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition can be seen here in the Tornado Red shade, while we do expect the range-topping version to be available in other colours as well. The Monte Carlo edition does bring cosmetic upgrades that include blacked-out elements like the grille, ORVMs, alloy wheels and the roof. The front fenders get the Monte Carlo badge, while even the Skoda and Kushaq lettering on the SUV has been blacked out, going with the theme.

The spy images also reveal the interior in great detail in the Monte Carlo edition. The all-black cabin gets some colour with gloss red inserts on the dashboard to match the exterior, while the seats and door pads are finished in black and red coloured upholstery. The big update though is the addition of the digital instrument cluster on the Kushaq that was so far missing even on the top-spec Style variants. The feature was offered on the Volkswagen Taigun and the Skoda Slavia, so it was only a matter of time before we saw it on the Kushaq as well.

The Kushaq finally gets the digital instrument cluster with the Monte Carlo Edition
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition will be based on the Style trim, so all other features will be carried over on the car. It's likely to be offered only with the 1.5-litre TSI engine that develops 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. It needs to be seen if Skoda will also bring the 1.0-litre TSI engine in the Monte Carlo edition. That being said, prices are expected to see a hike on the new range-topping version when the model goes on sale next month.
