Skoda Auto India has commenced production of the Kushaq compact SUV in the country at Volkswagen's Chakan facility, near Pune. The new Skoda Kushaq is scheduled to launch towards the end of June this year and is the first model to be based on the new MQB-A0-IN platform. It promises to offer a host of creature comforts, a strong road presence, a spacious and feature-rich cabin with over 90 per cent of local components going in. The new Kushaq will be offered with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines with manual and automatic transmission options.

Deliveries of the new Skoda Kushaq will commence from July 2021 onwards across India
The upcoming Skoda Kushaq will be competing against the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, and the likes in the segment. The feature list will comprise a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, dual-tone cabin, connected car technology, and more. Prices are expected to be competitive starting from Rs. 10 lakh, going all the way up to Rs. 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
