After the lifting the covers of the upcoming Skoda Octavia facelift last week, the Czech carmaker has recently released a new video that display the finer design details of the car. The new Skoda Octavia now comes with revised front and rear sections along with a revised cabin and a host of new features. The video reveals both the sedan and the estate version of the car that will be available in Europe.
Looking at the photographs, one can instantly figure out that the front end sees a new styling with different headlamps which are full LED now. The fog lamps are now elongated, in a rectangular shape as compared to the round ones on the Skoda Octavia (India model).
(2017 Skoda Octavia Facelift)As far as in-cabin technology is concerned, the Octavia now gets new infotainment systems. The three systems (Bolero, Amundsen and Columbus) now get a light touch capacitive screen. The top of the line Columbus system gets a 9.2-inch screen with facilities for WLAN hotspot, a SIM card module with an LTE system for internet connection. Some additional safety features such as the predictive pedestrian protection, blind spot detection, rear traffic alert and the trailer assistant have been added to Octavia facelift. One can also have multiple settings on the customisable key and opt for a heated steering wheel as well.

There will two petrol engines and two diesel engines on offer internationally. The petrol engines options are a 1.0-litre TSI which produces 113bhp and a 1.4-litre TSI which is good for 147bhp.
The two diesel engines are the 1.6-litre TDI which produces 113bhp and a 2.0-litre TDI which will be good for 147bhp. There will be an option to choose either a 6-speed or a 7-speed automatic DSG transmission along with a 6-speed manual one.
(2017 Skoda Octavia Facelift-rear)The Octavia has always been a best-seller for Skoda as it has sold more than 5 million units since its debut in 1996. The Octavia facelift will be available for purchase internationally towards the end of the year and the deliveries will begin only in early 2017.
There is no official news on the Skoda Octavia Facelift coming to India, but we believe it will come to India sometime in the first half of 2017.
