With Hyundai completing 20 years in India this year and with the launch of the new Hyundai AH2 or the new 'Santro' scheduled for later this year, the automaker has done quite well in India. With over 8 million cars sold as of last month and with sales ever growing, Hyundai is the second largest automaker in the country. Last year, Hyundai and SRK jointly did a campaign called 'Be The Better Guy' in which the message was quite clear. It is okay to not take a call, it is okay to be a little late, it is okay to be ridiculed by your friends for not having a drink and it is okay to be less cool if it is in the interest of being a safer driver on the road. And now, continuing with his 20 year association with Hyundai, SRK is about to launch a new series of videos for the next part or the third instalment to the 'Be The Better Guy' campaign.

Speaking to NDTV carandbike on the sidelines of his shoot for the campaign, Shah Rukh Khan said, "I think Hyundai and myself are in a position after 20 years where we need to show gratitude (to the Indian car buyer) by saying, okay, we have shown our vanity and we have showcased how good we are, but we are nothing if we are not being able to touch your lives in our own small way and pass on messages through our products with regards to safety."

Hyundai will be soon showcasing a set of new videos that will continue on the same 'Be The Better Guy' theme that essentially advocates safe road usage and following every single rule of the land despite the fact that it might bring about annoyance to you and even in some cases ridicule all for the greater good. And of course, the greater good in this case is to not get into a road accident and ensure your safety and the safety of your family too.

Speaking on the second part of the campaign and how he hopes it will catch on as a part of daily life, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Perhaps if it is adopted, it will become a great movement and will help everyone. So I think Hyundai has done a great job moving into that sphere. And if I may speak on the behalf of the company, they will continue to do so." King Khan also commented on the future products from the Korean automaker by saying, "the products are going to get safer, better and also surrogately talk about how safety is important and people are becoming more and more aware of it and if Hyundai could become a part of this awareness process that would be very nice."
Hyundai has ABS and dual airbags as standard on its whole range of cars today apart from the lower version of the soon to be discontinued Eon. The Eon is slated to be replaced by the new AH2 or Santro and keeping with their other cars on sale in India, the new car will be expected have ABS and airbags as standard.
