Tata Motors has been working towards making their products more contemporary and with the Impact design language it has managed to do so. The company's recent products, Tiago, Tigor and even the Hexa and Nexon boast of this design language where the lines are clean and the overall design attractive, so much so that the Tigor, Tiago and Nexon made quite an impact on the Indian customers. Sales of Tata Motors went up and the company wants it to grow which is why at the 2018 Auto Expo, the company showcased its new Impact 2.0 design language and with it the two cars which show the design direction the company is heading into - H5X and the 45X. Both cars will make it into production and will be launched in 2019. Beside the new language, the H5X showcases a new platform too and will be the first among the two to be launched in India.
Here's What We Know About The Tata H5X
- The H5X is quite the looker and is one of the best looking cars Tata has showcased in a while. The production version of the car will look similar to the concept.
- Tata has given the H5X a bold face and the slim LED headlights give it a mean look. Then there's the company's trademark 'humanity line' that connects the headlights and grille. All this makes the car look bolder and sharper.
- The front bumper is extremely stylish and the fog lamp housing which Tata Motors refers to as the 'tri-arrow' pattern

- The sloping roofline of the H5X and the rear windscreen breaks away from any traditional designs we've so far seen from the company.
- The production SUV which will be based on the H5X will be built on Land Rover's L550 platform
- Expect it to get Fiat's Multijet II diesel engine which currently powers the Jeep Compass.
- While the exterior looks great, the company has made the cabin even better as the H5X gets a clutter-free design and the material quality too is top notch.
- The H5X gets a digital console and touchscreen infotainment system which will provide a host of connectivity options.
The H5X will come with a ton of features
- The concept H5X which was showcased at the Auto Expo featured two individual seats at the rear but the production version will be available in the 5 and 7 seat format.
- Tata will launch the production version of the H5X in 2019 and we expect it to be priced between Rs. 15-20 lakh
