The home-grown automaker, Tata Motors has announced launching its new and refreshed range of passenger vehicles in Bhutan. Samden Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., who is the authorised distributor for Tata Motors in Bhutan, will take care of the sales and service of the entire line-up, which includes - the facelifted Tiago and Tigor, the Altroz, Nexon facelift, Harrier, and the company's new flagship SUV, the Safari. Prices for the entire range starts at Nu. 7.34 Lakh (Rs. 7.36 lakh), while the flagship Safari is priced from Nu. 24.42 lakhs (Rs. 24.48 lakh).

Commenting on the development, Mayank Baldi, Head - International Business, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors, said, "Bhutan is an important market for our growth strategy. The Tata Altroz is only offered with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and is available in XM+ variant only
Announcing the launch of the refreshed range of Tata PVs in the Bhutanese market, Ronrig Mutusang, Chairman of the Samden Vehicles Pvt. Ltd said, "We are proudly representing Tata Motors Ltd for its Passenger Vehicles range for the last 14 years." He further added, "With BS-6 emission it complies with the environment-friendly emission norm. We strongly believe that these New Forever Range of vehicles will gain wider popularity in the Bhutanese market."
The Tata Nexon, which has a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, is only offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine
Both in terms of features and specifications, all six cars launched in Bhutan, remain similar to the India-spec models. The entry-level Tiago and Tigor received a facelift in early 2020, and they are powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional AMT unit. Prices for the Tiago starts at Nu. 7.34 lakh (Rs. 7.36 lakh) while the Tigor is priced from Nu. 7.99 lakh (Rs. 8 lakh). The Tata Altroz, on the other hand, is only offered with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and it is available in XM+ variant only. The car has a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP and is priced at Nu. 8.95 lakh (Rs. 8.97 lakh).
The Tata Safari, the company's flagship vehicle, is priced from Nu. 24.42 lakhs (Rs. 24.48 lakh) in Bhutan
The Tata Nexon, which also has a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, is also only offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and prices for the subcompact SUV start at Nu. 10.55 lakh (Rs. 10.58 lakh). The Tata Harrier 5-seater SUV is powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine making 168bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque, and its price in Bhutan starts from Nu. 18.38 lakh (18.43 lakh). Whereas its three-row sibling, the Tata Safari, which gets the same engine is priced from Nu. 24.42 lakhs (Rs. 24.48 lakh).
