Tata Motors is all set to launch the long-range variant of the Nexon EV on May 11, it will be called - the Tata Nexon EV Max. Ahead of its launch, the company released a couple of teaser videos online, announcing the name, and sharing some of the visual details of the upcoming subcompact SUV. The Nexon EV is currently one of the best-selling electric four-wheelers in India, however, the carmaker feels there is still some amount of range anxiety among its customers. And to address this, the company is bringing in the long-range model.

Technical details are still unknown, but it has been reported that the EV will get a bigger 40 kWh battery pack instead of the existing 30.3 kWh unit, which would effectively offer a range of over 400 km on a single charge.
Visually, the long-range Nexon EV Max will largely remain identical to the regular model
Visually, judging by the teaser image, the long-range Tata Nexon EV Max will largely remain identical to the regular model, however, we do expect to see the addition of a 'Max' badge on the EV. The cabin too is largely expected to remain unchanged. However, the car will come with an updated centre console, featuring a new rotary dial with a display unit that shows you the mode you are in. Apart from that Nexon EV Max also comes with an electronic parking brake and auto-hold function, among a couple of additional features.

The long-range Tata Nexon EV Max is expected to be sold alongside the existing model, and given the bigger battery pack and new features, we would expect the EV to come with a considerable bump in price. We would also expect it to be priced around Rs. 18 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
