This 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO bagged an auctioning price of a whopping $48,405,000. RM Sotheby sold this beauty at an auction in August 2018. It is the world's most expensive auctioned car to date.

There is no end to the demand for this vintage race winning car. Auction house Bonhams sold the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Chassis 3851GT for a staggering $38,115,000 in August 2015. The car is one of the most iconic two-seat front-engine coupes to come out of Ferrari´s Maranello factory. Owned by wealthy Ferrari enthusiast Fabrizio Violati for 45 years, the car had a chequered past beginning with ownership with a F1 driver, hill climbing racer, a Gran Turismo racer and then finally the loving hands of Violati.
Ferrari built this beast to participate in the 1962 3-litre FIA GT World Championship series. Since there are only 36 units of this model, we think the exorbitant price tag is a great bargain!
