You can get a used Ford Endeavour for around Rs. 18 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh, depending on the model and its condition.
The Ford Endeavour has been one of the most popular models in India's full-size SUV segment. It first came to India in 2003, while the second-gen model was launched in 2016. However, Ford discontinued it in India after deciding to end local production in 2021. But you can still get a lot of options in the used car market. While the most recent one came with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, we would suggest looking for the pre-facelift second-gen model with the 3.2-litre diesel engine. You can get one for around Rs. 18 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh, depending on the model and its condition. The older first-gen Endeavour would be far cheaper, at Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh.

A used Toyota Fortuner will come for around Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 28 lakh, while a slightly older first-gen model will be even cheaper.
The Fortuner is competent enough to do a cross-country drive without breaking a sweat. Currently, prices for a brand-new Fortuner can go above Rs. 55 lakh, however, in the used car market, you can get a slightly older used current-gen Fortuner for almost half that price. A slightly older first-gen model will be even cheaper, around Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh, depending on its model year and condition.
The MG Hector Plus was launched only in 2020, and come in both 6- and 7-seater option.
In case you are looking for something with a smaller footprint, but equally big road presence, then an MG Hector Plus could be a good option. It has good looks, offers good cabin space, and is loaded with modern creature comforts and tech like - a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, connected car tech and more. It also comes with a very capable 2.0-litre diesel engine, which would be our pick. However, do remember the Hector Plus was launched only in 2020, so you are likely to get lesser options in the market, and the price too will be a bit on the higher side, around Rs. 17 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh.
Depending on the model year and its condition, you can get a used Mahindra XUV500 for anywhere between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 14 lakh.
The Mahindra XUV500 was one of the popular SUVs from the home-grown automaker. Last year, it was replaced by the XUV700, however, you can still get lots of options in the used car market. So, if a used Endeavour or Fortuner or Hector Plus do not fit your budget, then consider going for a used Mahindra XUV500. The SUV came with the company's tried and tested 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and featured an optional AWD (all-wheel drive) system. Depending on the model year and its condition, you can get a used Mahindra XUV500 for anywhere between Rs. 6 lakh and Rs. 14 lakh.
You can get a good 2015-16 Mahindra Scorpio for around Rs. 7-10 lakh, depending on its condition.
The Mahindra Scorpio has undoubtedly been one of the more popular SUVs in India. The carmaker has already launched the new-gen Scorpio-N and is also set to launch a refreshed old-gen model, which will be dubbed as Scorpio Classic. If you have the budget for the new Scorpio-N we would say, go for it, however, if you are looking for a more affordable option, you can get a good 2015-16 Mahindra Scorpio for around Rs. 7-10 lakh, depending on its condition.
