Hyundai India recently launched the fourth-generation Tucson SUV in the country. The new Tucson is built on the company's N3 platform and comes with a complete visual makeover that we certainly like. The SUV has become a lot more modern as well as offer better creature comforts and smarter tech. And you can know all about them in our review. However, what sticks out as a sore thumb is the pricing. The new-gen Hyundai Tucson is priced from Rs. 27.70 lakh to Rs. 34.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Now that, we feel, is quite steep and Hyundai could have been a bit more aggressive in terms of pricing. No doubt it is a great SUV, and if you think the new Tucson suits your budget, then sure go for it. However, if you desire a little more bang for your buck, then here as five luxury SUVs that you can buy for the same price as the new Hyundai Tucson. BMW too launched the new X3 in India earlier this year, however, you can get a previous-gen model for a much more attractive price in the used car market. Mercedes-Benz India launched the updated version of the SUV in 2020, which will be almost double the price of a new Tucson, however, you can get a used 5-6-year-old model for almost the same price. You can get a 2016-2017 GLC for anywhere between Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 35 lakh, depending on the model year and condition of the SUV.

Depending on the condition and model year, a 2016-2017 Range Rover Evoque will cost you anywhere between Rs. 26 lakh to Rs. 34 lakh.
You can get a previous-gen Volvo XC60 in the used car market for anywhere between Rs. 26 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh.
The Volvo XC60 is yet another luxury SUV that we think you should consider buying from the pre-owned car market. It was just last year that the company introduced the updated Volvo XC60 in India, and at its current price tag of Rs. 65.90 lakh it is around twice what you would pay for the Tucson. However, you can find a slightly older, previous-gen XC60, produced between 2016-2018, in the used car market for anywhere between Rs. 26 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh.
