Having showcased it first in early 2016, TVS Motor Company has finally launched the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with fuel injection. The FI version is priced at Rs. 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and joins the carburetted version that is currently on sale. The bike maker has announced that the FI version will be available in select cities for now, so make sure to check with your local TVS dealer for the updated model.

The FI version is priced at Rs. 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and joins the carburetted version that is currently on sale. The bike maker has announced that the FI version will be available in select cities for now, so make sure to check with your local TVS dealer for the updated model. TVS has rebadged the fuel-injected motorcycle as the 'Apache RTR 200 Fi4V' and the bike offers improved power figures, throttle response and efficiency. Unfortunately, the dual-channel ABS variant that was also showcased in 2016, still remains a miss on the motorcycle. The major difference though is that the FI version now comes with a small visor just over the digital instrument console, while colour options are limited to pearl white and matte yellow. Visually, the bike is exactly the same as the standard model. (The Apache RTR 200 Fi4V is priced at a premium of Rs. 8800 over the carburetted version) Mechanically, the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi4V is now equipped with twin-spray-twin-port electronic fuel injection technology. The closed-loop FI system is paired with the 200 cc single-cylinder engine tuned to produce 20.7 bhp at 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. Emission levels are lower too, thanks to fuel injection. TVS says the Apache RTR 200 Fi4V can hit the 0-60 kmph run in 3.9 seconds while the top speed is rated at 129 kmph. The TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi4V has been a long coming model and does not really have a direct rival in the segment. However, the model continues to lock horns against the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Yamaha FZ25 in the segment.
