TVS Motor Company launches the NTorq 125 Race XP, which is a refurbished trim of the NTorq 125. TVS' flagship scooter now gets a new colour scheme, two riding modes - race and street and an updated SmartXonnect connectivity platform with a 'voice assist' feature. The voice assist tech allows customers to operate the connectivity features of the scooter via voice commands. The TVS SmartXonnect app is programmed to accept 15 voice commands ranging from navigation to changing riding modes and other settings on the scooter. The user interface of the app has been updated as well which includes different live dashboard options based on the riding mode selected. The 'bike overview' section gets a major update with the addition of a graphical representation of performance parameters.

(The scooter gets revised combustion and gas flow dynamics, making it perform better)
TVS says that it has made significant improvements to the engine by updating the gas flow dynamics and combustion processes. The scooter continues to get the same 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine as before, but the Race XP model makes 10.06 bhp at 7,000 rpm as compared to 9.25 bhp made at 7,000 rpm on the regular model. That is a slight bump of 0.81 bhp. The peak torque too gets a small increment, from 10.5 Nm coming in at 5,500 rpm to 10.5 Nm coming in at the same rpm. The NTorq 125 Race XP is now the only ICE scooter in India to get voice command functionality along with having a peak power output of more than 10 bhp. The Race XP variant is also 2 kg lighter than the base model of the NTorq, at 116 kg.
