The existing KTM Duke 125 has been bringing big numbers to the Mattighofen brand, and the upcoming version seems to be bringing in big upgrades to the bike that has been celebrated globally. The second-gen KTM Duke is deep into its life cycle, and KTM has been working on bringing upgrades to all of the models in the Duke 125-390 range. KTM also recently gave an extensive upgrade to the RC line up last year as well.

The Duke 125 test mule was spotted along with the existing model

The spied test mule was spotted with a redesigned trellis frame having a greater number of crossbeams, but was seen with a new cast aluminium subframe, which replaces the steel trellis subframe on the outgoing Duke lineup. The engine was also sitting on a new aluminium mounting, and had new engine casings suggesting that the engine could have been reworked to deliver greater power and torque figures. Also getting aluminium treatment were the rear bolt-on pillion foot-pegs is positioned.
The upcoming Duke lineup will feature offset rear monoshocks, and was also seen with aluminium subframe and footpegs.

The design of the new Duke is also brand new and is more inspired from its elder siblings, the 890 and 1290 models. The fuel tank also appears to be slightly bigger and that mated with a probable improved fuel economy from the redesigned engine and reduced lighter chassis may give the bike a much needed improvement in range.
The Duke was also seen with a redesigned LED headlamp unit, flanked on both sides with body coloured panels.
Other design changes include a redesigned rear swingarm, and the front brake disc also has moved from left to right. The test mule was also spotted with new 5-spoke rims, and the rear monoshock is now offset to the right, instead of being a central unit. The front USD forks up front also appear to be adjustable, and are from WP. The naked motorcycle is also seen with a TFT screen which could feature Bluetooth connectivity, and redesigned tail lamps. The bike also sports an LED headlamp unit, and it remains to be seen if all these features will just be a part of the costlier Dukes, or even the 125 and 200 models in India.

The motorcycle is expected to make a debut at EICMA in November 2022, while it could be launched in India early next year. With the numerous and significant upgrades coming the Duke's way, the entire lineup is expected to get a price bump as well.
