Tata Motors is expected to launch the upcoming Punch micro SUV in India during this festive season. But before that, the Indian carmaker has dropped a new teaser of the SUV, giving us the first glimpse of the car's interior ahead of its India launch. Interestingly, the image also confirms that the small SUV will be available in manual and AMT options. We recently also got to see the production-spec cabin of the Tata Punch for the first time through the leaked images, suggesting it would dual-tone paint scheme. Moreover, a set of different pictures had emerged online, revealing two new dual-tone body colours.

The new image reveals that the Tata Punch will sports a minimalistic dashboard with a dual-tone black and white paint scheme. It will also get horizontal air-con vents with blue bezels. However, the main highlight is the Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one seen on the Altroz and the Nexon. The infotainment system is likely to be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. We also expect the top-spec model to get the brand's iRA connected car tech.
The photo gives us a closer look at the AMT gear lever and just two-foot pedals, confirming that the Punch will get an AMT option. Other noticeable features include a digital-analogue instrument cluster, flat-bottom steering wheel, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control, power windows in the front, fabric upholstery with some grey pattern, electrically adjustable ORVMs, white silver accents on the door handle and more.

As for the exterior, the new Tata Punch will get Tata's signature split lighting design, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and a beefy black bumper, underbody and side cladding, squared wheel arches, blacked-out pillars and faux roof rails. At the rear, the SUV will come with a sculpted design, with compact wraparound LED taillamps, centrally positioned 'Punch' logo and a heavily cladded rear bumper.
Tata Motors is yet to reveal engine options for the upcoming Tata Punch. However, we expect the SUV to come with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which also powers the Altroz premium hatchback. The petrol mill is tuned to make 85 bhp and 113 Nm of power figures. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard with an optional AMT unit.
