This car might just be the most recognizable car in Indian history. Ask anyone if they know about the Hindustan Ambassador, and their answer will be a resounding yes. The car has been an essential part of the fleet that carries politicians and even prime ministers of our country. Sadly, the car was discontinued in 2014, but its memory still remains.

The Padmini was a strong rival to Ambassador and was genuinely considered to be more user-friendly, and thus middle-class families loved the Padmini. The car briefly had a diesel engine at its helm, which was later replaced by petrol. Bollywood movies have immortalized Padmini as the "Kaali-Peeli taxi."
Ask any kid about the van that they have taken while going to school; the chances are that most of them would say Maruti Omni. One of the best things about Omni is its unique design that attracted customers. The car wasn't originally started as a family car but was later tweaked to make it more comfortable.

Coming right after Omni, Gypsy was Maruti's foray into making off-road vehicles. If someone visits any police station across India, this car would probably be the most present. The fabric roof at the back had a special appeal to it!
