Ford Racing has unveiled the Mustang GT King Cobra. The car has been designed to be a high-performance street and drag strip car and Ford has equipped this King Cobra with a variety of Ford Racing components.
To begin with, there is the Drag Pack which includes heavy-duty half shafts and a rear sub-frame kit with pre-installed high-performance bushings to improve traction and put optimum power to the ground under hard acceleration.
Add to that the Handling Pack which includes new rear shocks, a stabilizer bar kit and lowering springs which reduce the ride height by approximately one inch thus helping it handle all that power.
This brings us to the heart, which is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 and added to that is a Super Pack which includes a 2.3-litre Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger, a six-rib belt drive system, an intake manifold, an electronic throttle body, an air inlet system, a fuel rail, high-flow fuel injectors, an air-to-liquid intercooler and a Ford Racing ECU.
It looks the part but can it deliver on speed? Well, Ford hasn't yet revealed all the specifications but we'll get to know all about it soon.
