The fully blacked out colour theme and the red accents on the SUV look really cool and sporty.
The red accents on the mirror look quite nice and give the SUV a sinister look.
The red brake callipers up front along with the black alloy wheels look sexy!
The LED projector headlights too get a distinct red accent, and while it may not serve a practical purpose, it sure looks good.
The Gloster Blackstorm gets a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which makes 215.5 bhp @ 4,000 rpm along with 478.5 Nm @ 1,500-2,400 rpm. It gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard, along with four-wheel drive system.
The cabin gets an all-black treatment but we would have liked it even more if the interior had red accents strewn all over. It would have added a whole lot of character to cabin.
MG continues to offer the same 12.28-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MG iSmart connectivity technology. The screen is intuitive and is easy to use, with good feedback.
The SUV also gets a full-size panoramic sunroof, which adds a sense of airiness inside the cabin
The Gloster Blackstorm edition offers solid pulling power right from the word go, with linear power delivery. The driving experience is refined, with little noise seeping inside the cabin
The SUV has a plush ride quality but its sheer size and heft means that there's pronounced body roll and the suspension takes time to settle after it goes over undulations.
Straight line stability is excellent but direction changes are a little slow and the steering feels lifeless in most situations.
The Gloster Blackstorm also gets a bunch of level-1 ADAS features along with multiple terrain modes. It is fully equipped to tackle tough terrain but you would have to be brave to go off-roading with a Rs. 50 lakh vehicle.
If you are looking for a full-size SUV that can be your one-car-in-the-garage, then the MG Gloster Blackstorm should be high on your consideration list.
