Ever since the 968, Porsche has not given come out with a four-cylinder engine, until now. Porsche revealed a new entry-level version of the Macan powered by a four-cylinder engine.
The Macan comes with a 3.0-litre 340bhp churning engine but the base variant will receive the 2.0-litre 237bhp and 350 Nm torque generating turbocharged petrol engine. The Macan will come mated to the same 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission which will help the baby Cayenne to go from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds.
The 4-cylinder Macan will be easily distinguishable because of its dual exhaust as opposed to the S and Turbo variants which make use of quad pipes. Features like dual-zone climate control system, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) along with front & rear Park Assist are part of the standard list. However, those wanting to opt for the panoramic sunroof will have to shell out some more money.
