Subject: Unsatisfied service for TATA Nexon XM model Hello Sir, This email is regarding the complaint of unsatisfied vehicle service. I am Mr. Ranjit Lohar, purchased TATA Nexon XM Diesel model in Aug 2018 from Concorde Motors, Baramati.(MH). First PDI servicing of general checkup I did at Phaltan Naveen Motors. I went for second servicing of my vehicle in Concorde Motors Tathawade, Pune. At that time service provider has not updated vehicle software and they told me that they have updated. For third free servicing, I went to HEM Motors Div.pvt.ltd., Satara from Phaltan around 65km just to get hassle-free service and to avoid what happened in second servicing. But here also it is disappointed me a lot. When I went to servicing center I told them about software update, engine oil and oil filter change. Vehicle running was 9500km. They called me after 2 hours and hand overed the vehicle with wash. Hardly I traveled my vehicle around 1km and automatically pick up was going down and oil indicator was highlighted. I stopped my car and opened Bonet. I saw oil filter was not tightened properly and entire oil was licked. When I checked it with oil gauge there was no oil left on engine. I called to service advisor 7-10 times from my phone. But it was useless. I called to customer care of TATA Motors, they registered my complaint I have also given my email id which is ranjitlohar1686@gmail.com They said, they will send the complaint registration details over my email but I haven't received yet. This entire scene happened today on Pune-Banglore highway. After this all scene service advisor called me, then HEM Motors breakdown team came to look into the issue. They filled oil in the vehicle and tightened oil filter. After some time we start vehicle but there acceleration in vehicle and rpm was below 2. They routed us back to HEM Motors service center. I met to shop manager named Kazi. I was explaining him all the things but he haven't co-operated rather he suggested to do servicing at the location from where I brought the vehicle. Later on they checked vehicle and they told me that vehicle turbo charger is failed and they were advising me not to raise complaint we will do it. But I already raised it. They told me to keep the vehicle for 4-5 days in their Servicing center. And dropped me to bus stop, asked me to leave. Where I travelled 65km back to my home. Overall here I want to say, only after 9500km of running with less use, if my vehicle is facing these kind of engine issue. This is completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory. I am so much depressed and stressed due this entire scene happened today. Now I want my vehicle as new as it was when I purchased. I don't any issues in my vehicle engine. I request you to kindly look into the matter closely and help me to get my vehicle hassle-free. Otherwise I would have to raise complaint in district consumer forum against TATA MOTORS (Concorde Motors) and Hem Motors. Hoping for your kind support ASAP.
Tata Nexon a Master Piece - Loving It.

I have bought Tata Nexon XZ+ Diesel Silver Color 10 days ago and driven around 900 KM so far on both highway and city. After 10 days of use I can say simply that I am loving it. 1.5 L with 110 BHP with 260 NM torque, its full of power and very smooth. It zooms to 140 KM per hour without any effort. Interiors are simply superb abd The Harmab sound system is fantastic. I owned Hyundai Xcent 1.2 L Petrol before that and not after buying Nexon I feel proud to own Nexon. Also I have got mileage of arounf 19 to 20 with mix of highway and citt drive with AC. Specially its driving modea City and Sports are very useful.

From day 1 (Jun19) i have faced problem with my new Nexon car. The most important thing is no one coming to solve it. If i go to tata then they told contact to Dealer point & dealer point told contact to tata. After a long conversation with tata customer care get a funny email that in future if i got any breakdown, they will arrange a car for me. I don't understood how the company like Tata run their organisation with this kind of useless fellows.
I am proud to say that i have selected Best SUV

Tata Nexon Expert Review

Tata Nexon

The Tata Nexon comes with a brand new and stylish design template along with toning down its overall aggression considerably. The SUV has been successful for Tata Motors in the Indian market and stands out for its overall value proposition.

How’s the design?

The Tata Nexon now has a more refined and sleek design with toned-down aggression throughout the exteriors. There are muscular touches yes, although this is somewhat reduced now as per the Impact 2.0 design template. The front fascia has been fully revamped along with integrating a new signature grille and sleeker bumper with a faux skid plate. There is also a revamped LED package option for the Nexon. The side is similar although the coupe-themed aerodynamic body is striking. There are new piano-black themes for the ORVMs while the alloy wheels have also been revamped. The rear gets revamped LEDs with badging at the centre now. The rear has always been quite unique.

How does it perform?

Petrol

1.2 litre

120 PS

170 Nm

Diesel

1.5 litre

110 PS

260 Nm

The engines are the same 1.2 litre Revotron turbo petrol engine and the 1.5 litre diesel Revotorq engine. The power figures of the former are slightly better while the diesel engine remains unchanged. There are 6-speed AMT and manual transmission choices available for buyers. There are City, Eco and Sport driving modes available for these engines alongside. The engine seems a little sluggish until the 1800 RPM mark, although it becomes livelier after crossing this threshold. The Nexon can be planted on the highway and offers good stability at higher speeds. The diesel engine is reliable and refined while the petrol engine is also decent enough to drive.

How’s the mileage?

  • Diesel Manual- 21.19 kmpl
  • Diesel Automatic- 22.07 kmpl
  • Petrol Manual- 17.57 kmpl
  • Petrol Automatic- 16.35 kmpl

How’s the driving experience?

The Tata Nexon offers superb ride and handling, while ensuring a slightly stiff low-speed riding experience over potholes, sharp bumps and other undulations. The ride quality is also good enough with the car remaining stable and composed over bad roads as well. The steering is also one of the top picks in the category while offering good feedback and feel alike. The Nexon offers high driving confidence alongside. The car has good braking as well.

What’s the interior like?

The Tata Nexon comes with a new three-tone design along with a revamped dashboard which offers a plush look and feel. It has a revamped dashboard with the tri-arrow upholstery for the seats. The new central console looks luxurious and useful at the same time. There is also a flat-bottom steering wheel for a sportier option. The electric sunroof is the key highlight for the Tata Nexon while there is cruise control as well. The Xpress Cool feature is a handy touch, enabling special cool-down features for the cabin amidst extreme heat and humidity. Which variant to buy?

One can take their pick from the XE, XM+, XM, XZA+, XZ+, and XMA variants. The XZ+ is the desired variant in this category offering more value for money along with features like the digital instrument cluster, infotainment unit (7 inches) with connectivity features, interior features, smart key with push-button features, automatic climate control and more. The petrol-manual version is the value pick in this category.

Which cars compete in this segment?

The rivals in the segment include the Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza along with the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. The Nexon is decently fuel efficient and comes with good features including excellent safety features (its rating is a plus point). The Sonet and Venue take it head-on in terms of features, while the XUV300 could make more sense at a slightly higher price band. However, the Nexon still stands out as a compelling proposition in the compact SUV category.

Verdict (Value for money)

The Tata Nexon is a stylish and attractive SUV that is already synonymous with safety, great features, and good performance overall. The Nexon is everything that buyers want in a compelling package and stands out as a value proposition for buyers. The only thing is that it does not get a few features like wireless charging, ambient lighting, an air purifier, and some other kit. However, the feature list is still extensive and the petrol and diesel engines are powerful enough, while the ride quality is also top-notch. There is also good interior space. Yes, the petrol engine is not that fun and engaging to drive, especially in congested city traffic, the infotainment unit could have been better, and the Nexon could also have offered better quality of plastics inside. However, looking beyond these minor chinks in its armor, it seems to be unstoppable in the market at the moment.

should make it continue its successful run in the compact SUV segment.

Final Verdict on Nexon

Compared to the two Korean SUVs, the top-spec Nexon misses out on features like wireless charging or ventilated seats. However, these are quite exclusive features anyway so, none of the other SUVs in this segment like - Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, or Ford EcoSport offer these as well.

All You Need to Know About the Nexon

After a long wait, the Tata Nexon subcompact SUV is finally ready to be launched in India next month. We recently confirmed that the car is launching in September and while official bookings for the car are expected to commence by August-end or early-September, many dealers across the nation have already started accepting pre-bookings for the Tata Nexon. We have told you a lot about the SUV in our first drive review and here are some of the key things that you should know about the Tata Nexon.

As mentioned before, the Tata Nexon is the first subcompact SUV from Tata Motors and is about to enter a segment which already has established players like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport, which register average monthly sales of about 10,000 units and 4,500 units respectively. In addition to that, Mahindra has four SUVs in this segment - the TUV300, the Bolero Power+, the KUV100 and the NuvoSport and even Hyundai and Datsun will soon launch brand new SUVs in this segment. So, the competition is going to be tough.

After the Tiago, Tigor and Hexa, the upcoming Tata Nexon is the fourth model from the home-grown automaker to be built on the IMPACT design philosophy. This has helped Tata Motors to create a bold and futuristic design for the Nexon, which is also claimed to have picked one or two styling cues from the Range Rover Evoque.

Exterior features include - the signature 'Humanity Line' on the upper grille flanked by projector headlamps as well as LED daytime running lights. The tail lamps too are LED and the floating roof adds to the overall aesthetics of the car. Other features include underbody and side plastic cladding, sporty alloy wheels, electrically operable ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights and optional dual tone paint scheme.

The cabin features include - a floating dashtop HD display equipped with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Harman infotainment system with 8-speakers and read text & WhatsApp messages and voice based reply commands among others. The Nexon will also have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be offered on the top spec car, and incidentally, the Nexon is the first Tata product to get the Apple CarPlay option.

On the safety front, the Tata Nexon gets two airbags and ABS with EBD as standard on all variants. Additional features include reverse parking camera, smart key with engine start & stop button, ISOFIX child seat mounts and more.

Under the hood, Tata Nexon features a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol motor, and a newly-developed 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, joining the Revotorq family. The petrol unit is, in fact, a turbocharged version of the one found on the Tiago and Tigor, and is tuned to belt out 108 bhp at 5000 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque between 2000-4000 rpm. Whereas, the new 1.5-litre diesel motor makes 108 bhp at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque between 1500-2750 rpm. Initially, the car will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

While we might have to wait a bit more for the official pricing to be revealed, for now, we can surely give you a tentative price range for the upcoming Tata Nexon subcompact SUV. In our opinion, Tata Motors will price the Nexon quite aggressively, at a starting price of about ₹ 6.5 lakh going up to ₹ 9 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant.
