Tata Motors introduced the first in class subcompact crossover SUV, Tata Nexon in 2017 and has entered the sub-4 meter crossover SUV segment in India. The prototype version debuted at the Auto Expo 2014. The facelift version of Tata Nexon is launched in January 2020 with all-new features, BS-VI compliant engine, major exterior changes, and is available in petrol (Revotron) and diesel (Revotorq) fuel variants. According to reports, the sale of Tata Nexon has increased from 14,062 in 2017 to 48,842 in 2020.
There are 36 variants of Tata Nexon available in Revotorq and Revotron engines along with an option for manual and automatic transmission. 18 among them are in the Revotron variant and 18 in Revotorq. The ex-showroom price of the base model starts from Rs 7 lakh and ranges to Rs 12.7 lakh for the top version.
