The front end features RS660-inspired twin LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, complemented by a tall windscreen that enhances aerodynamics. It offers a European style to the buyers which is paired to a punchy engine with enough performance to keep you content. It has good road presence and loads of pracality owing to a lot of storage spaces. But the pinch point is that Aprilia doesn’t have a wide dealership and after sales support network in India which might prove to be an issue for a lot of customers, especially those that don’t reside in urban areas.

The Aprilia SXR 160 maxi-scooter, priced at Rs 1.26 lakh, waslaunchedby Piaggio India (ex-showroom, Pune). For a token of Rs 5000, the scooter can be reserved at any Aprilia dealership in India or on the company's e-commerce website. It costs roughly Rs 23,000 more than the standard SR 160 scooter. The Aprilia SXR 160, which debuted at the 2020 Auto Show, is a cross max design, or a hybrid of sorts, that combines the sportiness of a maxi-scooter with the convenience of a conventional scooter.

The new SXR 160 is based on the same architecture as the company's successful moto-scooter, the SR 160. It comes with the same 160 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 10.8 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 11 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm. The SXR has been modified to be a more comfortable scooter, with more power distributed evenly across the rpm range. However, at 129 kg (kerb), it is 7 kg heavier than the SR 160 and so does not feel as speedy.
The SXR 160 has a hefty front apron in the form of a maxi-scooter, split LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a tall windscreen, and a huge single-piece seat with a step-up design that gives the scooter some mass. A hefty exhaust system and 12-inch alloy wheels are also included, and a huge, all-digital instrument display features a speedometer, tachometer, engine oil temperature, and external temperature indicators. It also comes with two trip metres, a real-time fuel economy indicator, average speed, battery voltage, and engine and ABS warning lights.
