The BMW R 18 B "Bagger" has been announced along with the BMW R 18 Transcontinental, two new models in the BMW R 18 family. The R 18 B is the regular bagger, without the top case and pillion friendly passenger seat of the Transcontinental. The BMW R 18 B is based on the "Big Boxer" 1,802 cc flat-twin engine of the BMW R 18, but gets a front fairing with built-in music system featuring Marshall speakers, as well as Active Cruise Control (ACC), an adaptive cruise control system powered by radar. The BMW R 18 B may be from a German brand, but its design is like a quintessential heavyweight American cruiser. The R 18 B will compete with big heavy cruiser from the likes of Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle
The BMW R 18 B follows the typical all-American heavyweight cruiser design, although it's built by the German brand. The R 18 B extends the BMW R 18 family with a Bagger model, featuring wind protection, as well as standard hard-case panniers for touring.

The BMW R 18 B is powered by the same 1,802 cc boxer-twin engine which makes 90 bhp, 158 Nm, and gets an exposed shaft final drive
The engine is the same 1,802 cc flat-twin (or horizontally-opposed boxer twin) engine, which makes 90 bhp at 4,750, and 158 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 rpm.

The BMW R 18 B gets four analogue clocks with a big 10.25-inch TFT screen. Also available are Marshall speakers mounted on the inside of the fairing
Unlike the standard R 18, the BMW R 18 B features a big fairing, with four analogue gauges as well as Marshall co-branded audio system managed through a massive 10.25-inch TFT screen.
The BMW R 18 B gets three riding modes, Automatic Stability Control and engine drag torque control (MSR)
The BMW R 18 B comes with three riding modes, Rock, Roll and Rain, as well as standard Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and engine drag torque control (MSR), which is electronic traction control. Reversing aid and Hills Start Control are available as optional extras.
Also available is Active Cruise Control (ACC) which is a radar-powered adaptive cruise control system
The BMW R 18 B comes with Dynamic Cruise Control, and also get Active Cruise Control, which is adaptive cruise control, that uses radar sensors in the fairing to adjust the speed to maintain a safe distance from traffic in front.
The BMW R 18 B is expected to be priced at around Rs. 23 lakh (Ex-showroom)
The BMW R 18 B will be available in the US market in August, and is likely to be introduced in India sometime towards the end of 2021, or early 2022. Price is expected to be around Rs. 23 lakh (Ex-showroom).
