The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift has finally gone on sale in India and it comes with quite a few significant upgrades both on the outside and inside of the SUV. The new Hyundai Venue facelift is offered in six variants - E, S, S+, S(O), SX and SX(O) and ex-showroom prices start at Rs. 7.53 lakh for the base petrol trim, going all the way up to Rs. 12.57 lakh for the range-topping turbo petrol variant. The new Hyundai Venue looks sharper and a bit sportier compared to its predecessor.
The most significant the Hyundai Venue has received is in its looks and it design is definitely more futuristic and a bit sportier compared to the outgoing model. The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift gets a wider 'Parametric Jewel Grille' which looks more butch sporting with generous chrome inserts and seamlessly merges with the new turn indicators and parking lights up top. The split headlight treatment continues even on this facelifted model and bumper too has been redesigned featuring chunkier air dam and skid plate. Even the rear boasts of some major updates like the sleeker and sharper taillights that are now conjoined with a full-length light bar running the width of the tail gate. The multi-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels too are new.

The cabin of the new 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift still is a familiar space courtesy the same overall layout, but it now gets a dual-tone treatment and the instrument panel is now digital. The rear seat now comes with a two-step recline function, which is a segment-first feature.
The previous Hyundai Venue got an all black cabin.
The predecessor was offered with a single tone grey cabin with silver inserts while it was updated with the four-spoke steering wheel with the launch of the iMT variant. The outgoing Hyundai Venue came with analogue dials for speedo and tacho meter with a reasonably sized MID in the centre.
Now this is another area where we have seen some substantial upgrades in the new Hyundai Venue facelift, beginning with the four-way power adjustable driver's seat for rake and height adjustment. Though, it still gets a manual lever for backrest adjustment. Coming to the tech that's on offer, the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift is available with an updated version of Hyundai's BlueLink connected car tech with 60-plus connected car features and support for 12 languages - including 10 regional languages. The system as before supports over-the-air updates.
Quite obviously, the above mentioned features were not available previously on the Hyundai Venue but it was the first connected car that went on sale in India back in 2019 and was offered with quite a few segment-first features back then like wireless charging, a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and premium Arkamys sound system among others.

Mechanically, the new Hyundai Venue is the identical to the outgoing model retaining both petrol motors as well as the diesel mill. Starting the range is the 82 bhp 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which is available in all the variants except the top-of-the-line SX(O) variant. The higher variants get the option of the more powerful 118 bhp 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which isn't available in the E, S, and SX trims. The diesel engine is the familiar 99 bhp 1.5-litre unit, which is available in all but E and S trims. Gearbox options include a five-speed manual for 1.2 petrol, six-speed manual for the4 1.5 diesel, a six-speed iMT for the 1.0 Turbo and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) for the 1.0 Turbo. That said, the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift now also gets drive mode select with three modes- Normal, Eco, and Sport.
