The BMW CE 04 electric scooter, the latest electric scooter from BMW Motorrad, is ready for production. And from the looks of it, the CE 04 retains much of the design and features shown in concept form. So, it retains the futuristic design, and promises a feature-loaded package, with impressive range, performance and electronics. The CE 04 electric scooter has only been unveiled in production form, and it will likely go on sale in international markets only by 2022. The BMW CE 04 has a futuristic design, and stays true to the Definition CE 04 concept showcased in 2020
The BMW CE 04 retains much of the same design as was showcased as the Definition CE 04 concept in 2020. And the production version of the CE 04 carries forward the same design language; futuristic, and long-ish, with a flat, bench-type seat, sharp bodywork, accentuated by creases and complemented by full-LED lighting.

The futuristic design is complemented by full-LED lighting, a 10.25-inch TFT colour screen with integrated map navigation and connectivity. The CE 04 has elongated dimensions, with large side panels and a compact front apron, and equipped with storage compartments, on the sides, as well as the front. Also included is a ventilated mobile phone charging compartment with USB-C charging port.

The CE 04 has a top speed of 120 kmph with 0 to 50 kmph acceleration in just 2.6 seconds
The BMW CE 04 is powered by a permanent magnet electric motor, which is mounted on the steel frame, between the battery and the rear wheel. The motor has a rated output of 15 kW (20 bhp), and with a maximum output of 31 kW (41 bhp), the BMW CE 04 has a powerful motor and claimed acceleration figures from 0 to 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds. Maximum speed is claimed at 120 kmph, and the 8.9 kWh battery is capable of providing 130 km maximum range.
The BMW CE 04 has three standard riding modes, Eco, Road and Rain, as well as standard traction control and ABS.
The CE 04 comes with three standard riding modes, Eco, Rain and Road, and an optional Dynamic mode. The electric scooter comes with standard traction control, and Dynamic Traction Control is part of the optional extras. Braking system is standard ABS, with dual discs up front and a single disc at the rear. The ABS Pro system is an optional extra which controls braking on bends, offering increased safety.
The BMW CE 04 will be offered on sale in select international markets sometime in 2022.
The BMW CE 04 is expected to be offered on sale commercially by 2022, across Europe and select international markets, including the US. So far, there's no word on if BMW Motorrad plans to offer the CE 04 electric scooter on sale in India, considering it will be a premium product, and will be a lot more expensive than any electric scooter offered on sale in India right now.
