2022 Ducati Streetfighter V2 Unveiled
Key Highlights
  • Streetfighter V2 based on full-faired Ducati Panigale V2
  • 955 cc v-twin engine makes 151 bhp at 10,750 rpm, 101.4 Nm @ 9,000 rpm
  • Same electronics suite as Panigale V2, suspension calibrated for road use

Ducati has announced the expansion of the Streetfighter family with the introduction of the new Ducati Streetfighter V2 and the top-of-the-range Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP. The Streetfighter V2 is in fact the naked street version of the Ducati Panigale V2, stripped of the fairings and equipped with a flat and wide handlebar, for a more upright 'street' riding position. It essentially takes all the technology and know-how from the Panigale V2 and is packed into a more accessible and practical package for everyday use. The Streetfighter V2 will be available in international markets starting December 2021, and is expected to be introduced in India sometime in early 2022.

The 955 cc Superquadro engine makes 151 bhp at 10,750 rpm and peak torque of 101.4 Nm at 9,000 rpm.

Streetfighter V2 Engine & Performance

The Streetfighter V2 is also powered by the same 955 cc, Superquadro engine that resides in the current Panigale V2, but with slightly less power and torque than the full-faired sibling. On the Streetfighter V2, the engine makes 151 bhp at 10,750 rpm and peak torque of 101.4 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The Streetfighter V2 also gets the same 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional up/down quickshifter, but compared to the Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 has a shorter final ratio. This is said to offer better torque at road speeds, providing better engine responsiveness and throttle response for road use.

Streetfighter V2 Electronics & Features

The electronics suite is inherited from the Panigale V2, and comprises the six-axis inertial measurement unit that manages all electronic controls, including cornering ABS, with "slide by brake" functionality, Ducati Traction Control EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control and Engine Brake Control. The Streetfighter V2 features three different riding modes, Sport, Road and Wet with dedicated control settings. The bike gets full-LED headlights with DRL, and comes with 4.3-inch TFT screen.

Streetfighter V2 Chassis & Cycle Parts

The engine acts as a stressed member of the aluminium monocoque frame. The single-sided swingarm is 16 mm longer than the Panigale V2 and is said to offer better stability on road use. Suspension consists of 43 mm Showa BPF front fork and Sachs shock absorber, calibrated for more comfort on road, as well as easy adjustability for racetrack use.

The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with 5-spoke 17-inch wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. Except for brake pads characterized by a less aggressive bite, more suitable for road use, the braking system is taken from the Panigale V2, with Brembo M4.32 monobloc radial calipers with 320 mm front discs.

Streetfighter V2 Design

The design of the Streetfighter V2 stays true to the Ducati Streetfighter family, with its design largely inspired by the bigger Streetfighter V4. The only missing elements are the wings next to the radiator, but these are offered as accessories for the V2.
