Delhi-NCR-based auto repair and service platform, Fixcraft, aims to expand its reach in India's aftersales automotive market over the next one year with network expansion and strengthening its spare parts business. The company will soon expand to Pune and Hyderabad, as part of the its larger expansion plan under which Fixcraft wants to be present in at least 10 metro cities over the next 12 months. Speaking with car&bike, Vivek Sharma, Founder & CEO, Fixcraft said, "We are present right now in Delhi/NCR and Bengaluru, and in three months you'll see us launching in Pune and Hyderabad as well." Right now, the company has three garages operating, two are in the national capital region (NCR) - one is in Gurugram, and one is in Noida - one is in Bengaluru.

Talking about the network expansion plan Vivek Sharma told car&bike, "Right now, we have three garages operating, two are in NCR - one is in Gurugram, and one is in Noida - one is in Bengaluru. Now, the COVID has disrupted, time and again, our expansion plan, but right now things are settled and hopefully, we don't see any further disruption. We will be present in the top 10 cities, our approach is one (garage) per city, and then we will go deep into those cities. So, you can say that in the next 10 to 12 months timeframe we will be present across 10 cities in the country."

Fixcraft was founded in 2018 to become a tech-enabled one-stop service for all car repair and servicing needs. Fixcraft aims to offer an end-to-end service, delivered through a mobile app, and the cars are fixed in company-owned workshops with trained technicians. Sharma says that while mechanics were always available, they were not well trained or well-staffed, and the customer focus was not there. And that's something Fixcraft claims to be bringing to the table.

Talking about the company's philosophy, Vivek Sharma said, "The difference, or one of the key aspects I would like to call out, is that we are not operating in an aggregation or a marketplace model, where you just tie-up with existing garages and kind of bring them on board and start diverting business to them. We have a full-stack solution, which is end-to-end, so we have our own garages, our own people, and our own material which gets used in those garages, and that's how we are able to control the quality and provide a better experience to the consumer."
Fixcraft also has a separate vertical which supplies spare parts for auto repair and service-related work. In fact, not just to them, but also to other retailers and other garages in the market. That's the second line of business under Fixcraft. Talking about this separate business vertical, Sharma said, "Spare parts are critical aspects of running this business smoothly, so we realised this a long time ago, and we started working towards building the spare part vertical separately, as an enabler of this core business. Now, that spare part vertical we have also supplies to smaller garages and smaller retailers. We procure them directly of course, but that vertical is also a second line of business for us, which fulfils our own spare part demands."

Fixcraft recently also acquired VMotive, the automotive spares brand of Vogo. The team of V-Motive will join with Fixcraft as part of the deal, which will help the company's expansion goals and presence in the domestic aftersales automotive market. The company said that by acquiring V-Motive, it would be able to offer high-quality and genuine spares to the dealers and workshops and will ensure easy availability as per the designed specification.
