Mahindra & Mahindra has a new product strategy in place that will see the brand introduce several new products by 2026. The brand has a renewed focus on the SUV segment as part of the core product strategy for the brand, but its older model range will continue to co-exist with the new line-up. This particularly extends to the Marazzo MPV and the KUV100 models that very much will be a part of the company's portfolio. Veejay Nakra, CEO - Mahindra & Mahindra (Auto div.) recently confirmed the development to carandbike.
Speaking on the recent episode of Freewheeling With SVP, Veejay Nakra said, "That [Marazzo] is a product that will continue. We are not stopping that brand."

Adding further, Nakra elaborated that the company plans to introduce newer variants to the Marazzo, most prominently the AMT or Autoshift version in the near future. The new automatic variant will go on sale in India later this year, and will be the transmission that will be paired with the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that belts out 121 bhp at 3500 rpm and 300 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard as of now.

The Mahindra Marazzo went on sale in 2018 and the MPV was appreciated for its spacious cabin, punchy diesel engine, and decent feature list. It also received a four-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, which makes it one of the safest MPVs on sale today. Sales though haven't been as enthusiastic as some of its rivals. Between January and June 2021, the automaker sold a total of 1173 units of the Marazzo in the domestic market. The Marazzo competes against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Innova Crysta, and the likes in the segment. Meanwhile, the Ertiga retails an average of 9000 units every month, whereas Toyota sells about 3000 units of the Innova Crysta on a monthly basis.
The upcoming AutoShift version is expected to rejuvenate sales for the Mahindra Marazzo, bringing the convenience of an automatic at an affordable price point. Meanwhile, Mahindra has revealed the new Bolero Neo, which replaces the TUV300 moniker in the company's line-up. The automaker is also gearing up to introduce the all-new XUV700 in a few weeks from now.
