And as we went through the lists that you folks had submitted, the one thing that stood out was either driving a luxury car, owning one or going to the track with one. So, most of you had a car in mind and we were more than happy to see that. Because, you know what, a luxury car just propels one's image, and people around you get to know the lifestyle you're leading. Of course, it just elevates every aspect of you and no wonder, so many of you want that piece of joy and a sense of pride. You want to step out of your house, head to the car park and smile at it, because it's your source of pride and that happiness, no money can buy.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Limousine is available with both petrol and diesel engine options
And Mercedes-Benz India makes this journey extremely easy for many. The A- Class Limousine, is the company's entry level offering in the luxury space and it gives all of those aspiring to get into the space a chance to get there. You want choices, you get it in the form of petrol and diesel engines. Mind you, there's the most powerful AMG version too but we'll get to that. The petrol A 200 draws power from the 1.3-litre turbocharged mill with 163 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque on offer. The diesel version will be using the 2.0-litre four-cylinder oil burner with 150 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel gets an 8-speed DCT. Powerful? yes, intimidating? No! Because for that you need the AMG version, one that's Made-In-India, yes, you read that right!
The AMG A35 can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds
The range-topping Mercedes-AMG A 35 draws power from the more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that packs 306bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The performance sedan can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and will have a top speed of 250 kmph and it looks aggressive too with the AMG treatment it receives.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 comes with a sleeker dual slat grille with the AMG lettering, a sportier bumper kit with large intakes and a sharp bumper lip with chrome highlights. The AMG model also gets smoked effect for the Multibeam LED headlamps and taillamps, while the rear section features a sportier bumper with rear diffuser and round, dual exhaust system.
You get 10.25-inch split screens for infotainment and instrumentation
While the standard petrol and diesel models get a set of twin-5-spoke alloy wheels, the A35 comes with a set of AMG-style dual-tone alloys and the five colour options - Cosmos Black, Denim Blue, Mojave Silver (Was with Initial lot, now changed to iridium silver); iridium silver, Mountain Grey, and Polar White just give you a wide variety to choose from.
But if all this power or the colour fails to impress anyone the connected car features will. The A- Limo gets the latest MBUX system with NTG 6.0 offering 24X7 connected features and services from Mercedes Me Connect. The system is accompanied by the large single unit touchscreen media display with 10.25-inch split screens for infotainment and instrumentation. The dashboard also features the signature rotor-like chrome air-con vents, a multi-functional new steering wheel, and a smart-looking centre console with the signature touchpad control to access the infotainment system. With the MBUX system, the car also gets voice command function which can be activated by saying 'Hey Mercedes'.

It also comes with smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and navigation, along with cruise control, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, Thermotronic 2-zone climate control, rear armrest, and wireless charging. The car also gets leather upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel and Brown open-pore walnut wood interior trim option. The AMG version comes with multi-functional sports steering wheel draped in Nappa leather, Burmester surround sound system and Keyless start-stop button. Also, the AMG model gets all-black interior with DINAMICA microfibre black upholstery.
