The automobile industry is slowly getting back on its feet post the pandemic, and along with it, major auto shows are also making a comeback, well, of sorts. The latest to announce a return is Detroit's annual North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which is set to take place in September this year, as the organizers have released the dates for the premier auto show from Detroit. After a hiatus of two years, the NAIAS will conduct the media preview from September 14-15, followed by a charity preview on September 16, while the public will be allowed to enter the premise from September 17-25, 2022.

“We are proud to return to downtown Detroit and to work with Mayor Duggan and the city of Detroit again,” said Rod Alberts, executive director, DADA. “Capitalizing on everything we've learned over the past two and a half years, we are uniquely positioned to bring a dynamic, engaging, experiential show to Detroit in 2022.”
In addition to the show at Huntington Place, there will be additional city-wide activations taking place throughout the downtown part of the city.

The Huntington Place, which was formerly called the TCF Center, will play host to the big three homegrown automakers- General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, along with a few other OEMs, however, there's no confirmation on this yet. The officials said the Detroit auto show will highlight a wide range of vehicles, the technology enabling global mobility and electrification race, and Michigan's position as a mobility and technology incubator. In addition to the show at Huntington Place, there will be additional city-wide activations taking place throughout the downtown part of the city.
