Steelbird Hi-Tech India limited has introduced a new two-wheeler helmet to its line-up with the launch of the SA-2. The new offering promises a better design and features over Steelbird's standard range, along with funky decals, and is priced at Rs. 3,849. The helmet comes with multiple air vents for better ventilation, while the cheek pads are removable and washable, allowing for more hygienic usage. The Steelbird SA-2 helmet also comes with a quick release buckle that the company says meets European standards.

The new Steelbird SA-2 will compete with helmets from Studds and Vega in the segment.
Speaking about the new launch, Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director, Steelbird Helmets, said, "Offering superior quality, effective performance and advanced technology "SA-2" helmets offer unmatched safety standards without compromising on the looks, even at the backside SA-2 helmets have spoilers for the sporty look. The Steelbird SA-2 also comes with vortex generators on the visor helps for lower air friction, while a wind deflector allows for lower wind noise inside the helmet. Other features on the helmet include an anti-fog shield holder on the visor and also a visor locking mechanism. The helmet itself is made of high impact thermoplastic material shell. The SA-2 also comes with a high-density EPS and Polycarbonate (PC) visor with an anti-scratch coating.
The new Steelbird SA-2 is being offered in three sizes - Medium (580 mm), Large (600 mm) and XL (620 mm). It complies with the BIS certified to conform to IS 4151:2015 norms.
