The made in China baby adventure bike has reportedly reached production and could be an affordable option in the entry-level adventure bike segment. The range of Zontes 310 bikes has been under development for some time now, and the Chinese brand also has a naked variant, as well as full-faired variant of the same platform. The third model in the range, the Zontes 310 ADV has reportedly been rolling off production lines in China, and orders are being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis in China.
If launched internationally, and at the right price point, the Zontes 310 ADV will be a direct rival to the BMW G 310 GS, as well as the Kawasaki Versys-X 300. The Zontes 310 ADV is powered by a 300 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine which puts out 35 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 30 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The Zontes 310 ADV has got attractive adventure bike styling, and seems to be built and finished well, and could be a much affordable alternative in the attractive entry-level adventure bike segment. The BMW G 310 R puts out 34 bhp from its 313 cc engine, while the Versys-X 300 makes 39 bhp from its 296 cc, parallel-twin engine.
The Zontes brand is based in Guangdong, China and is a subsidiary of Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co. Ltd, and specialises in manufacturing small-displacement motorcycles, step-throughs and scooters. So far, there's no word on pricing and availability, but if the Zontes 310 ADV is introduced in India, it could well make for an attractive and affordable entry-level adventure motorcycle.
