TVS Apache RR310

The TVS Apache RR310 is a potent and high-performing motorcycle with immense popularity in the Indian market.

How’s the Design?

The TVS Apache RR310 comes with a new colour option and the rest of the design stays largely the same. The dual tone colour option looks striking on the bike. The Titanium Black colour theme is quite attractive. The decals are also stylish and the inner fairing components come with gloss black paint.

The bike comes with a 312.2 cc engine that makes 34 PS and 27.3 Nm of maximum torque. The TVS Apache RR310 comes with Rain, Sport, Track, and Urban riding modes which come with varying systems, depending on the engine response and power output. The modes also depend on the ABS setup. The throttle responses feel flatter for the Urban and Rain modes while there is a drop in torque and power figures and the rev limiter is kept at 9,000 RPM. The Track and Sport modes do not limit torque and power with the rev limiter kept at 11,000 RPM. There could have been a riding mode positioned somewhere between the Sport and Urban ones. The engine works well in terms of its linear power delivery and there is good responsiveness, aided by the lower kerb weight as well. The vibrations are also lower this time around.

People also ask For

  • Is Apache RR 310 a good bike?

Apache RR 310 is the latest and most advanced racing bike of the TVS Apache series. It has all the features that its competitors have and it is priced lower as well. The display, engine, brake system, and design of the bike are what sets it apart. It has a reverse inclined DOHC engine. It makes the air being used past the air filter with ram effect, meaning that the air is used effectively. This engine design ensures that you get the best use of it with minimum wear and tear being caused to the engine. This bike is the safest racing bike, equipped with Michelin Road 5 tires which provide a strong grip of the road in cases of sudden cornering. Due to these premium tires, you can enjoy a comfortable ride every single time you are on this bike, making it a very good choice.

  • Is it worth buying Apache RR 310?

The Apache RR 310 costs Rs.2,59,000. Apache RR 310 ABS is the only other variant of this model. A unique feature of this bike is its display features. It has a sport and track mode and an urban and rain mode. The buttons to navigate these modes are simple and responsive.

The price of this bike is justified given the features that it offers. You can access an EMI option for payment which makes this bike a little more affordable. The EMI is at Rs.6845 per month with an interest rate of 6%.

The Apache RR 310 is the most recent model in the Apache range. It is of strong build, with premium clutch and brake systems. The wheels ensure a smooth ride. It looks very attractive and is designed to appear aggressive and powerful. Given all of these qualities, the Apache RR 310 is priced at a fair range and is a bang for the buck.

  • Which is better: Apache RR 310 or KTM RC 390?

The main competitors of this bike are the KTM RC 390 and KTM Duke 390 which are all priced higher. This makes Apache RR 310 a cheaper option, without compromising on price or features. The KTM RC 390 is priced at Rs.2,77,517 and the KTM Duke is priced at Rs.2,87,545.

The only bike which offers similar quality is the Bajaj Dominar 400. It is priced at Rs.2,02,755 lakh and maybe a more affordable option than Apache RR 310.

The KTM RC 390 has recently undergone a makeover and now comes with black, white, and orange accents. The wheels have been changed to black instead of orange. It is quite an attractive look, and if this is appealing to you then go for this bike.

Both the bikes look sharp and beastly. However, Apache RR 310 looks a tad more while on the other hand, KTM RC 390 is out with a new look.

  • Which model of the TVS Apache series is best?

Apache RR 310 is the best from this range. TVS Apache began making these bikes in 2005. Ever since, they have been revising and reintroducing different models and trying to make racing as fast, safe and comfortable as possible. Apache was designed keeping accessibility in mind, that every rider out there should be able to purchase a racing bike, regardless of whether they belong on the track or not.

TVS has a 4 stroke reverse inclined engine. It is more powerful and fuel-efficient than its competitors. There are several modes that can switch the bikes smart connectivity. These buttons are very easy to use. With a high torque of 7700 rpm on sport and track mode, this bike can run at very high speeds without inflicting damage on the engines. It also uses the fuel injection method, meaning that it is very fuel-efficient and therefore has lesser costs per kilometre.

TVS Apache RR 310 Vs. Competition

Apache RR 310 has been adapted from the Akula 310 concept and has turned out to be quite a good-looking bike. It has an aggressive look that makes it stand out. Several small details make the appearance of this bike all the more attractive. The twin headlight is fitted with powerful LED lights. The rear of the bike also has a devil's horn theme, all factors that contribute to the look.  The KTM RC 390 has a milder look. It has received criticism for what the buyers perceive to be a bulkier front. Both bikes have an LED display.

The KTM RC 390 is full of features, just like the Apache RR 310. The KTM RC 390 may have a bit of an upper hand in the features department. The Apache RR 310 does have a lap timer, real-time mileage display, and notifications but its display features are simply not as elaborate as the KTM RC 390.

Coming to the other specifics, the RC 390 uses a WP with USD forks and a mono-shock for its suspension setup. The brakes perform very well, with a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the back. On the other hand, Apache RR 310 comes with a 41 mm USD front fork and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The brakes have a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm disc at the back.

Both the bikes have similar engines and fuel efficiency. They are liquid-cooled. Please note that neither of them has blue core technology which is the latest fuel efficiency technology in the market.

The Dominar is not as sharp as a normal racing bike. It is missing the sleek look that Apache RR 310 provides. It is still a good-looking bike, with a slightly bulkier look. It owes this to the fuel tank region. People deem this bike to be quite attractive.

Both the bikes have similar LED headlights. Both of them have an adequate digital display, however, there is no mention of Dominaar having multiple modes. Their braking systems are also similar, as they both use dual-channel ABS. Dominar also uses a slipper clutch.

Both of these bikes are great buys. If on a budget, Dominaar will suit you better as it is priced lower. If you have a sleek but powerful look in mind, the Apache RR 310 is a better choice. The Dominar happens to be a little bulkier.

Apache RR 310 immediately wins the price battle with Kawasaki as it is priced significantly lower than Kawasaki.

Even at this higher price, Kawasaki fails to provide blue core technology and offers the very same engine cooling system that Apache does at a much higher price.

The bike offers a nice look but Apache offers a better combination of colours. It lacks the appeal of Apache RR 310 as it is not quite so sleek and misses out on the minor details that Apache has implemented to stand out.

Both have similar tail lights, bright LED ones that make driving safely at night very easy. Kawasaki has a single petal disk for its braking system, and both have ABS technology. Kawasaki also has a digital display.

You can go for Kawasaki Ninja 300 if you have a larger budget and feel like dishing out a few extra bucks for a smaller build and extra features. If not, go for Apache RR 310.

I have observed reviews of RR 310 for almost an year & then took the plunge to get RR 310 a month ago. I haven't left probably an single review on youtube too :) Now i previously owned an RTR 160 for 10 years (earlier flagship of TVS a decade ago) & without even single breakdown, did all hilly terrain or highways upto 300 km a day on weekends. It never failed. Impressed by legacy of RR160, had plan to own rtr 200 (the couple of year old flagship), but then rr301 was declared, so it's a latets flagship of the company whose 10 year old product was doing wonders till now for me, add to that BMW engineering (big bonus) + extra 1.5 lacs worth investment in design , R & D per bike, 35 years of TVS experience, you are never going to get a product less than near perfect all rounder. I can drive it at 7-10 kmph in traffic, i can maneuver it at will (though it's big), it's shockers & ride quality is so plush, you feel pothole are half the actual size, It can overtake 99 % vehicle on road when you wish, & at each signal it's the best looking bike , arguably. Now Mileage 30 kmpl without 1st service, when speed is 45-75 kmph, & when 70-110 kmph, mileage is 25 kmpl, Over all 27 kmpl for initial 300 kms, not bad for a performance sports tourer, It can go slow, its sports bike yet comfortable, it's heavy not yet too heavy to take life out of you when pulling, It's forgiving, you make some silly mistake & it gives you chance to correct it, it won't afraid you, it's powerful but under your command. BALANCE. It looks suave not a hooligan , rides suave too, so it reflects your personality. there are 4 better performers at extra cost, but then the cost is whopping 1 lakh for ninja 300 & r3. Close rival in cost RC 390 is faster powerhouse but not comfortable, & tough to handle in slow traffic, then looks & feel wise RR 310 is WINNER for me. Dominar performs similar but doesn't look 75 % as premium as this though cost of dominar is less too. So RR 310 is in balance with dominar, RC/duke 390, NInja 300 & R3 on other ends due to cost, handling, performance, weight , mileage. Looks is where it outshines others & it matters when you are riding a 2 lakh bike & it pays too :) if you out & out fast rider go for duke 390/ rc 390 for little extra money, but comfort, mileage further goes down & chances of errors are less too for the power they offer For more refinement, you can go for ninja 300 & r3 by paying additional money- 1 lakh approx, they still don't look this great :). they perform better surely but then cost difference is huge. RR 310 is adequately costly for the value all-rounder it brings for your money.

All You Need to Know About the Apache RR 310

The TVS Apache series was introduced in India as a racing motorcycle in 2005. It all started with the 147.5 ccs motorcycle. Fast forward to 15 years later, the TVS Apache RR 310 is a beast, complete with Ride Modes and Throttle-By-Wire. This bike is a dream for racers as it has everything they could ask for. Few details, that as riders you must know are:

The TVS Apache RR 310 has a displacement of 312.2 ccs and a max power of 34 PS@ 9700 rpm. One of the most exciting features that the Apache RR 310 has is its multi-information race computer. This computer is SmartXonnect enabled. This computer has several abilities including displaying information about navigation and incoming calls.

You can trust this system as it has been tested by experts in every possible scenario to ensure its functionality for you. You have no fear of losing control, whether you are on the road on your bike or the track.

Interestingly, this bike has been inspired by the deadliest predator on earth, the shark. Designed to appear aggressive, this bike looks both powerful and attractive.

This bike hosts twin projector headlamps which have very powerful intensity. You can drive at faster speeds without compromising your speeds.

The tail lights have LED lights inside them that offer a stunning look owing to their unique design.

The breaks placed on this bike are of premium quality, with dual-channel ABS. What this does is prevent wheel lock and the lift-off of the rear wheel, hence keeping the driver safely rooted to the ground. There is no chance of an accident because of this system. There is also a slipper clutch that allows you to downshift easily and fast.

The Apache RR 310 has Michelin Road 5 tires which have superior ACT+ technology. Tires are an important part of your ride; bad quality tires mean that you will have uncomfortable seating and journey. With the Apache RR 310’s Michelin Road tires, there is no chance of this.

The Apache RR 310 used the principle of aerodynamics to maximize speed. This ensures maximum downforce, higher speed and decreases the strength of the wind hitting the rider.
