About Yamaha R15S V3.0

Yamaha Motor India has launched the 2021 YZF-R15S V3.0 with a unibody seat in the country. The fully-faired motorcycle comes as a single variant that is priced at Rs. 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs. 13,000 cheaper than the YZF-R15 V4. As indicated by the name, the new R15S is based on the Version 3.0 model. It is offered in a single colour option - Racing Blue. It will be sold alongside the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 model, which has recently received a price hike.

Apart from the single-piece seat, there are no visual or mechanical changes to the YZF-R15 v3.0. The bike also continues to come with the fully digital Multi-Function LCD instrument cluster with gear shift indicator, twin LED headlamps, LED taillamp, and Deltabox frame, aluminium swingarm and side stand with engine cut-off switch. The motorcycle also comes with 17-inch black alloy wheels at both ends, shod in wide 140/70 section tubeless tyre at the rear, and a 100/80 section tyre upfront. Braking duties are continued to be handled by disc brakes at both ends with a dual-channel ABS unit.

The 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15S V3.0 continues to be powered by a 155 cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve engine that produces a maximum power output of 18.34 bhp at 10,000 rpm, with a torque output of 14.1 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The fuel-injected motor also comes with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
