Honda Hornet 2.0 Vs. Competition

When this is all about choosing the best bike of 180cc, here is a comparison of Hornet with TVS Apache. The ex-showroom price of TVS Apache RTR 180 is Rs. 1, 04,720 and Honda Hornet 2.0 is Rs. 1, 32,843.

TVS Apache RTR 180 is accessible in three different shades and 1 variant and Honda Hornet 2.0 is available in four shades and 2 variants.

The engine capacity of RTR is 177.4 cc and Honda is 184.4 cc

RTR is oil cooled and Honda is air cooled

Very recently launched, the Apache RTR 200 4V is the newest addition to TVS's naked bike portfolio and quite a good one at it. Coming at a lower price, although the Apache RTR 200 4V cannot compete with the Honda Hornet’s performance, it sure does makeup in looks and builds quality. With this information, it is quite evident how the Honda Hornet is a worthwhile purchase. Honda Hornet is smooth even on the bumpy road but after a few hours, RTR gets slow and ride quality is not up to the mark. Honda Hornet is air cooled but RTR 200 is oil cooled. The Honda Hornet 2.0 is always a better option.

Best bike for City commute. Lightweight (142kgs) makes handling very easy. Smooth refined engine trademark Honda. This looks like a beast and is easily one of the best looking bikes in the parking lot. 110/70 & 140/70 tyres looks awesome and gives really good balance and stability. Brakes are really good, you can almost completely depend on the front brakes. Mileage of 40 around. Smooth gear shifts. And excellent torque Low and mid range performance is best in the class. You tend to feel the absence of a 6th gear but that's ok unless you are buying this bike to race on a daily basis. Initial issues described here like engine heating and noise from rear brakes (just clean the disk) and all are eliminated after 1st service. Some bikes may tend to have a lockset issue, which again resolves in a month or so on its own or then a new lockset can be installed. I would definitely recommend for a smooth makkhan experience and a pleasurable riding.

All You Need to Know About the Hornet 2.0

There is no doubt that Hornet has forever been one of the top brands in the automobile industry.

It is a good looking bike as this comes with various shades. All-LED lighting lends this a premium feel, and the digital LCD instrument console is packed with features as well. This contains a proper gear position indicator, battery voltmeter, and service reminder.

The Honda Hornet 2.0 is accessible in a choice of four colours- Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Sangria Red Metallic. The Hornet 2.0 also gets the proper handy hazard light switch, and the ignition key is place on the fuel tank like bigger bikes.

The Hornet 2.0 gets an all-new engine, and not the bored out version of the Honda CB Hornet 160 as some of us thought. The 184.4 cc engine mainly puts out 17.03 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 16.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. This gets paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The engine of this bike gets Honda's programmed fuel injection along with 8 on-board sensors that constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture for better performance and efficiency.

A roller rocker arm is said to reduce friction losses, and a piston cooling jet improves engine thermal efficiency; in layperson terms, it helps the engine run cool and improve efficiency.

It also introduced the new triple-spark design, and this got the popularity amongst people in the recent market. Even though this bike does not come with a fuel-injected engine like its predecessor, this does not leave any stone unturned in living up to the name.

The Honda Hornet 2.0 gets a diamond-type frame that is said to be all-new. But what is new is the gold-coloured upside down forks. This runs smoothly even on a dusty road and you do not face any hassle as well.
