The footballer has added a limited-edition Bugatti Centodieci to his huge exotic car collection.
FCA India has voluntarily recalled 547 units of the MY20 Jeep Compass for rectifying a fitment issue of a brace nut, used in the wiper assembly of the SUV. The company initiated this process as a precautionary exercise, which was identified byQuality Control as an opportunity to improve the fitment of a brace nut as a part of the regular vehicle quality audit process . The company has also specified that the affected vehicles were manufactured this year itself.
Hero MotoCorp, the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturer has announced sales results for the month of July 2020. The manufacturer has sold 506,946 units of motorcycles and scooters last month in the domestic market. However, the company sold 478,666 motorcycles and 35,843 scooters in July 2020. With things moving towards normalcy, the company managed to register month-on-month sales growth for the third consecutive month since operations resumed. The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 490058 units of motorcycles and 45752 units of the scooter in July 2019.
Mahindras Farm Equipment Sector (FES) also announced its tractor sales for July 2020 wherein the company recorded a growth of 27 per cent. The total tractor sales including domestic and exports stood at 25,402 units during July 2020, as against 19,992 units sold in the same month last year. Seeing a positive response from the domestic market, the company sold 24,463 units, witnessing a jump of 28 per cent. Last year, the company had sold 19,174 units in the same month.
Mahindra & Mahindra announced its sales results for July 2020 wherein the automaker's total volumes including domestic & exports stood at 25,678 units, witnessing a decline of 36 per cent as compared to 40,142 units sold during July 2019. As the carmaker is slowly recovering from the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic, Mahindras total domestic sales stood at 24,211 units in July 2020 against 37,474 units sold in the corresponding month last year. While year-on-year sales volume dropped by 68 per cent, however, the automaker managed to record good sales compared to June 2020. Mahindra's sales for July saw a double-digit growth when compared to the 19,358 units that were sold in June this year.
The Indian automotive sector is approaching normalcy at a steady speed. And, the carmakers are slowly ramping up the production as things are getting better. Toyota India on Saturday announced that the company has retailed a total of 5386 units in July 2020. The Japanese carmaker registers saw a Month-on-Month (M-o-M) growth of 40 per cent, compared to 3866 units retailed last month. However, the company has a saw a de-growth of 48 per cent for the Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) sales, compared to 10,423 units in the domestic market in July 2019. The carmaker had also exported 868 units of the Etios last year.
Maruti Suzuki India has released its monthly sales numbers for July 2020, wherein the carmaker posted total sales of 108,064 units. As compared to the 57,428 units sold in June 2020, the Indo-Japanese car manufacturer saw a Month-on-Month (M-o-M) growth of 88.2 per cent. However, the company recorded a fall of 1.1 per cent over July 2019. As things are gradually moving towards the new normal, the carmaker is steadily ramping up the production to cater to all the pending orders that had accumulated over the past few months.

Toyota India on Monday confirmed the emergence of five more cases of COVID-19 at its manufacturing facility Bidadi, Karnataka including our four employees and one contract staff member. The same number of cases were also reported on July 26, 2020, at the company's facility in Karnataka. Notably, the Japanese automobile manufacturer hasn't suspended its operation at the plant, despite a heavy spike in numbers of Corona positive cases. Tata Motors, the homegrown auto manufacturer has silently updated the XT variant of the Altroz by adding new automatic climate control to its feature list. This feature on the premium hatchback was formerly offered only on XZ and XZ(O) variants when the premium hatchback was launched in the country earlier this year. Now, the carmaker has introduced this feature on the mid-range XT variant to make it an interesting package for the customers. Previously, the Tata Altroz XT trim was offered only with manual AC, while the automatic climate control was limited for the higher trims.
Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Sunday yet again hiked the price of diesel in the national capital by 15 paise per litre. As per a price notification from state-owned OMCs, diesel price in Delhi inched towards the Rs 82 per litre-mark following the second consecutive day of the price hike. With the new prices coming into effect, the retail selling price of diesel took to its highest ever rate of Rs 81.94 per litre in Delhi. However, rates vary from state to state depending on the local sales tax or VAT levied.

Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL), India's leading natural gas distributor on Friday revised the CNG prices in and around Mumbai by Rs. 1 per kg. The new prices came into effect from midnight onwards. The customers will now have to shed Rs. 48.95 from their pockets for per kg of CNG across the city. The gas distributor cited lower sales volumes because of COVID-19 and higher cost due to the depreciation of rupees against the dollar as the main reasons for the CNG price hike.
